A great place to leave everything behind and hike. Highly recommend if youβre planning for hiking, bird watching or wildlife photography.
If you want to park free, you might want to come early in weekdays, there only few plots. If not, u still can park free at road side or with 10$ at their parking area.
I enjoyed when not many people hiking here so I can silently watch many species in the wild. I hate when people hike and make so much noise and loud music. Itβs not only affects my time with natute, it also affects wild animals. Thatβs why I recommend you to come here at weekdays, not weekends and not too late. Hope it helps.
Oh, one last thing, I luckily saw a rattlesnake which is Venomous Southern Pacific Rattlesnake (πΆπππ‘πππ’π βππππππ ππ πΆπππ‘πππ’π πππππππ’π βππππππ), quite possibly the most common snake in the LA region. But donβt worry, if you saw one when hike, freeze and hold still and slowly back up. Giving space is crucial as snakes are likely just passing through. To avoid them, stay on the path and avoid thick vegetation, do not have earbuds in or listen to music. They may rattle as a warning. You should be ready to look out for the rattling sound.
This rattlesnake I took in the appeared very close to me, just about a meter away. While I was sitting, waiting to photograph a flock of birds, I turned around and suddenly saw it. I just stayed quiet and stood still, watching it. Even though it was very close, it didn't show any aggression. So, donβt worry. They have their own business to mind about.
Nice, quiet area to observe birds, especially Acorn Woodpeckers. My guess is it is a prime spot when water is available. I spent about an hour and saw/heard about 20 species of birds, deer, rattlesnake, and multiple lizard species.
One of my favorite spots in Griffith Park that is easy to get to and quiet
This is a very easy trail.if you're looking for something a lot more challenging this is not for you. It is a gradual incline up the loop and a decline down the loop. It is probably less than a mile walk. It is not shaded, so I would β¦
I've been going to the bird sanctuary in Griffith Park since 1992, and it is just as magical today as it was the first day I discovered it. If you're looking for a private intimate place in the park to bring your sweetheart and spend some β¦
Beautiful hiking trails, unparalleled view of Los Angeles, and a fantastic way to meet people from all over the world!
Great trail that takes around an hour to complete. Including the Hogback trail.
Doesnβt look like much but so many birds if you listen. Sit in stillness and theyβll reward you with their presence.
This is a wonderful and beautiful place to live. The Park is sure to keep you athletic and in shape. Lots of romantic places to to picnic.. great place to buy a house. The Park has the Greek Theatre and the Observatory and simply the best β¦
